DMZ Cairo's Edtech startup Tutoruu wins the Golden Ticket at Shark Tank Egypt
On Saturday 4th of February, the Edtech startup, Tutoruu and its team members Seif Kassem (CEO), Mariam Amer (COO), and Mohamed Elmestekewy (PR & Community Director) faced the Sharks on the 5th episode of Shark Tank Egypt aired on CBC Egypt and the WATCH IT platform. After an outstanding pitch and taking the full attention of the Sharks, Tutoruu received 1 million EGP in Sponsorship from MNHD to keep growing their educational platform and mentor network.

As an Edtech startup, Tutoruu is a university-specific social networking web app that connects students with their university community to access peer tutoring, class notes and much more. Tutoruu’s platform will soon be available for all students at the hosted universities at the Universities of Canada in Egypt (UofCanada) Campus.
Tutoruu is currently part of Cycle 2 of the tech incubator, DMZ Cairo, located and operated by UofCanada. Throughout the 8 months of the personalized incubation program, Tutoruu will receive support from local & international mentors to take their business to the next level.
