memorandum of understanding with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development

UPEI Cairo Campus has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development is a public economic organization with an advisory, training, and research identity, supervised by the Minister for Planning and Economic Development. The representatives from NIGSD’s side were Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director at NIGSD, Eng. Sherif Fouad Elfakharany, ICT & Digital transformation consultant at NIGSD, and Mr. Nabil Fouad Ahmed, HR and business development manager at NIGSD.

From UPEI Cairo Campus’ side, the representatives at the signing were Dr. Kim Critchley, UPEI Cairo Campus Provost, Dr. Ahmed Elsheikh, Associate Dean of Program of Computer Science & Mathematics, and Dr. Neveen El Sayed, Assistant Professor at the Program of Computer Science & Mathematics.

The NIGSD, affiliated with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Reform, has requested the MOU signing for the two entities to share expertise, knowledge, and more in the technology & education fields.

Some of the activities that will take place between the two entities include capacity building and training activities, research and academic activities, advisory and consultancy services, and knowledge sharing and networks.

We are very excited about the opportunities that will arise due to our partnership.
